Thank You! I use Both regular and holographic Flashabou. I mix colors and sometimes tie marabou/hackle as trailers for more action. I usually tie to cut sections of surgical tubing. When you cinch the thread, it digs in. You can trim the tubing to create spacers between skirts. The head skirts are tied on brass skirt bodies.

Hi PMH and MS, Thanks for your info. I know very little about Spinners and Skirts in general but interested in learning more as I wouldnt mind making some at some point and trying some down here in NZ. It was the first time I had seen double blades so naturally asked. I know you use them on Muskie and other freshwater fish. Most of my fishing is saltwater and I think spinners may work with some of our fish which are attracted by flash so wanting to find out more which I will over time. Rgrds.

Hi Musky Stalker. Thanks for the advice. Might just get round to making and trying some of these shortly and seeing how they go. Is there some source of info on making these for saltwater do you know? Any pointers and refs appreciated. Yes NZ has some big trout alright but like everywhere in the world today they often dont get a chance to grow to the age and sizes they did previously . The rainbow and brown trout that came out of Lake Taupo in that period 1917 to 1922 before their numbers reached maximum sustainable levels were some of the biggest fish of their species ever caught. Mind you there are still some big trout and salmon in the South Island.
