Lee Pot Dripping???

I have noticed that my lee pot drips out of its spout a lot. It doesnt seem to matter if I heat it very very hot, or on the cooler side, it just drips. Obviously if I fill the reservoir high, the pressure helps it drip, but even on a lower volume it still seems to drip.

Any suggestions on getting it to stop dripping? It drips a LOT, like every 2 seconds, at its max.

Had the same problem with mine just had to turn the rod that goes to spout when lead was hot also fluxing the lead helped.

Also try cleaning the discharge hole with a piece of wire or paper clip. It probably has a little debris holding it open.

I found that I had to pull mine apart and clean out the gunk every five or six months. Drain all of the lead. Scrape out all of the brown build up and run a small drill through the hole. Take a little sandpaper to the rod......Put her back together and you are good to go

It started dripping after only one use. So something must have gone awry. I will try both of the suggestions above.

Turn the rod and make sure it is seating properly. It only takes a minute particle to hold the rod up and cause a drip.

I have found that mine drips only when I use hard lead. When using soft lead works a lot better. I think the tin and other additives stick to the sides and get in the pour spout. To know if you are using hard lead you will have to scrape A layer of crape off the top of the lead. looks like fools gold.
