I have made latex molds for HO and N scale trains never a mold for a Lure? What is the best type of material to use for these molds and how is the master prepared?

I'm currently working with Alumilite, well, working is a strong word, more like looking at!
Once I get it in gear, and actually use the stuff, I'll let you know how this goes

I have used aluminite to make a couple of crank bait molds. The first one was a disaster and the second one was much better. You can buy a Aluminite mold making kit from Hobby Lobby which has everything you need to get started or you can buy it direct from http://www.alumilite.com/
Their web site has lots of information and tip on mold making.

Husky - from what i've read, the Alumilite doesn't float without the balloons. Speaking of those, I have some I got from both alumilite and Lurecraft, they look to be the same, anyone know if they are? I can get stuff shipped a lot cheaper from LC!

Right! Sorry. I meant Featherlite. I'll go fix that. Did you price them at Shopmaninc.com?

I just did, and for a quart, they're almost half price, thanks!
