Could anyone please give me the correct sizes of eyes for lures in both inches and metric? Forgive a old carpenter for having a problem with this

There is not a 'correct' size, there are some commonly sold eye sizes though, such as 1/8, 5/32 and 1/4, or 2, 2.5 and 4.

I most often use 5/32" (about 4mm) molded 3D eyes on bass baits. Sometimes I go larger but seldom smaller. If you don't want to maintain a selection, I'd paint the eyes on. From what I can tell, the bass won't care and it looks fine if you do it carefully.

Most of my lures have glass eyes and the sizes I use most are 4, 5 and 6mm. I have used as big as 9mm on some lures just for an exaggerated look.

I have heard a lot about glass eyes and have looked at numerous site for them. Are they a common item from a vender or are they a chance thing you have to find on old beaters

This is an eye chart I made to see where the WTP eyes in reference to mm.
The WTP eye sizes appear to be 1/16th's, so a size 2 would be 2 1/16th's
It has been a long time since I made this.
I think the sizes in red are some measurements I took with a mic on some WTP eyes.
