BassSniperLures
I'm a soft plastics guy and I'm outta my league here. I was told an extremely hot colored RatLTrap for a lake I'm fixin to fish a tournament in. The problem is nobody around here sells em and I really don't want to order from BPS for 2 of em. I can paint em myself I just need some advice on how to get the chrome off
Norcalbassin
Try 300 grit sandpaper and a little steel wool after to smooth it out. That usually works for me, but if they are Bill Lewis?(I think thats the brand that sells RatLTraps) they may have a foil insert in them too. BassSniperLures
Ok thanks. I'll try that. I tried to scrape it off with a knife but that didn't work:mad:
fish devil
try using easy off oven cleaner. Test it in a small area before using it on the entire bait.
Norcalbassin
BassSniper, I tried the knife thing at first too. Sounds like we got the same results. A little fine grit sandpaper like I said will help take out the sratches and gouges. Norcalbassin
