Tony Maxwell Posted April 28, 2007 Report Share Posted April 28, 2007 I modified a weedless football head jig mold. Drilled out the weedguard hole to 1/8" (I think), bought the medium hitch hikers from Cincy BassPro, and stick a drill bit inside the HH to keep the lead where it belongs. TCCustom Posted April 28, 2007 Report Share Posted April 28, 2007 I couldn't find a mold that you could put a prink or Hichhicker in so I just altered the Do-it-Mold I had. I had a simple ball mold with no color. I used a dremell and gound out here I wanted the spring to go, A little grove for the wire and then a big cavity for the coil to lay in. worked real well. Use J&B wield to fill the area you don't want lead in.if you have a colared jig mold. Here is the end result. jigfisherman Posted October 2, 2007 Report Share Posted October 2, 2007 I use a straight peice of wire with a bend at one end to put on the hook so it will not pull out. I use a round head mold I modified a little so I could put the wire, I also use a weedless football head and put the wire where the weedguard would be. I twist the wire after I pour them.
