What type of mold material is that? Is the material soft or hard? Did you use a release agent for getting it out when your done? Thanks in advance....Jeff

its clear plastic casting resin, got it at michaels crafts, its hard, I sprayed the pan with some PAM as a realease agent, still had to pry it out a little, now to do a little clean up with a dremel and I'll see how it casts

Very nice, The clear polyester resin can get expensive, you can also try fiberglass resin at boaters world, it is not clear but cheaper. the Pam could leave bubbles and you should not have to use it since the resin once cured shrinks.

Waterweasle, you get a chance to demold and make some baits? I went walking around Micheal's yesterday and could not find anything. I ask one of the girls and she looked at me like I had three heads. Anybody have links to the resin or epoxy?

I got the same thing at Michaels but found a product that works there. It's clear glass called liquid elegance (floral arranging compound). It is very hard to get out of the mold even with a release agaent. Wrecked a good alluminum pan doing it. It is about $14 a box and makes about 2-3 molds depending on size. Takes forever and a day to harden. It made a great mold but I won't use it againwith all the trouble.

Someone had something about a product from Michaels on a very recent thread. I don't know if this is the same thing or not.

chirmy, thats the exact stuff I used, I got it at michaels crafts, it was in the aisle with all the different glues and such................... the mold came out ok, nothing great, but I suppose my inexperience with this stuff will account for that, but seeing as I"m lazy, I probably wont be trying it again, its to easy to buy alum molds, ohhh baits were ok, nothing like what I like when using alum moldslotsa pits and such in them( very tiny, not a smooth surface)
