My new shallow musky crank!work awesome!!

Hi guys!!I made a mold a few weeks ago from a protype of a shallow version of my deepdiver crank!I molded a few ones last week and got one in the boat for some testing!!!At first it was realy not running well!No action at all!!!####tt!!!!100$$$to make the mold and the damn crank was not working a all!!The next day I tryed a other lip(a smaller one and more square)and bag!!!!The perfect action that i wanted!!!!what a joy to see it swim like I was dreaming about!!!SO!!!dont give up guys!!!Some times it takes a lot of testing to make a crank swim the perfect way but it is wort the time !!!Will post some pics of musky's caught on it pretty soon!!I hope!!!lol!!!cheers.muskydan666
ps:there is a pic of the tester!No paint on it!!!lol!My fishing partner what to try it like that!!!lol!!!It is so ugly!!!hope it's not good!!!

What did you make the mold out of, Gold? I can get 5 lbs of silicone, retail for that price.

I like your split tail design there, it's very similar to some I have been working on. I would use a much smaller lip still if that's the size you currently have. It should work even better.

Husky!Here in Quebec it cost about 100$for a 2.4lbs kit!!!!Realy expensive up here!!Cheers.Dan

Dan have you tried with a round lip bit shorter than the one in pic ?
If not try & let us know how it acts i bet it will get a wide wobble
that will attract muskies&pike in the shallows

hi swede!The lip on the pic is the one that was not working!!!The other one is smaller and is square!And it work very nice!!!But!I will try a round one for sure!!!I was allready planing to try a few others!I'll let you know the result very soon!!thank's guys!Dan

are you drilling and pinning the lip from behind to hold it in?

That's really cool Dan, I'm glad it worked for you. I know there's alot of work in building the prototype, the mold, the materials, etc., etc. Awesome bait buddy.
