ALL THE SUGGESTIONS HAVE BEEN GOOD, FOR SOMETHING REALLY DIFFERENT TRY AN OLD WOOD SALMON PLUG, OR A PENNY JIG THAT CIRCLES AS IT LANDS.

SILVERBUDDY is one of the best and can be fished at any depth gets down there fast and stays down there and still has good action being fished at that depth or if trolling in those depths you can troll a Spoonplug on Wire Line easily staying in contact with bottom also, I have produced good Walleyes trolling it on Lake St Claire in 30 foot walking the channel bottoms.

I'll second the notion of jigging spoons. I think they are one of the most underused and effective baits out there. I've used them for walleye and smallmouth bass (from a boat) and had a blast with them.
I also use them while ice fishing. Once you figure out how the fish wanted them jigged, you can usually get some quick action. I like silver or gold Hopkins Spoons, but I have some others too. #11Posted 23 January 2008 - 07:44 PM
spoons down deep may be the best technique. you never know what you're gonna get!
