Mr B Posted June 15, 2007 Report Share Posted June 15, 2007 Anybody come across a good 3/4oz arkie mold. I love my Do-It arkie but they dont have a 3/4oz. I checked Hilts site but they have these lame drawings of their heads, no info on Weedgard size, 1 cavity per mold and $35:mad: Please let me know if you know of a Do-It style arkie mold w/ 3/4oz that wont break the bank. Fatman Posted June 16, 2007 Report Share Posted June 16, 2007 I've checked the whole Do-It catalouge and they don't have a 3/4 ounce mold for them only 1/43/81/2 Wish this had come up sooner, there was an original arkie single cavity jig mold on ebay but it's gone now. WidowMaker Posted June 23, 2007 Report Share Posted June 23, 2007 Im not too familiar with Hilts Molds but if i remember correctly the majority of them appeared to be cast with the cavity being formed during the initial casting. In other words the cavties did not appear to be cut via cnc into a finished mold blank. The reason im stating this is because both faces of the mold appeared to be "hollowed" on the undersides. But i think the Hilts Arkie mold could be different because the mold faces appeared to be solid through to the back side with the cavity machined sometime after the casting.
