I have been looking for the strongest alligator clips MADE to hold 3/4oz Rat-L-Traps by the small eyelet on the lure. What do you guys use??? How are you supposed to clip onto rattle traps and topwaters???? I need help and the stores that carry this clip! THIS WILL SOLVE SO MANY OF MY PROBLEMS!! Thanks everyone!

I use x-acto blade holders. I can generally find them on sale for a buck a piece, take the blade out and it holds my rattle traps and tops with no problem at all. YOu just have to clean it up every once in a while to get the clear coat out.
And....my experience has been that the plastic handled blade holders, while cheaper, are not better. In fact, they don't work well at all. Spend another quarter and get the metal holders.

I bought my alligator clips at Home Depot. They work fine but I haven't tried them on a lure that heavy.
