Lotic Joe
Anybody know where I can purchase the "rubber core" collars Barlows is using on their new finesse jig skirts? They are a 2 piece collar that traps the strands between rubber. They do a great job at holding the strands in place even when the front ones are trimmed to produce a spider jig. Would be nice to find these collars so that I can make color combos that Barlows doesn't sell. Finesse Spider Skirts @ Barlows
dampeoples
Isn't that kind of what the umbrellas do?
Lotic Joe
Kind of but not really. The inner core has a flat piece on the trailing edge instead of the slope on a cone. On some of the smaller jigs I pour (1/16 and 1/8 oz) there's just not enough room to squeeze a cone in the space between the jig head and the ring that holds the collar in place. There's barely enough room for these collars.
dampeoples
I think I see the differences now, thanks for the explanation. You tried emailing barlow's? They're pretty good about answering
