brain power. Single strand skirt material

Recommended Posts

I bought some square rubber skirt material for making jigs. The problem is its one continuous strand. Whats the best way to make skirts out of this?

Here is the idea I had. Take a piece of plywood. Say 8"8". Put 4 nails in it about 4" apart in a square. Wrap the rubber around it about 44 times. This will hold the material while I tie 1 jig on each side. Then cut them free.

Any other ideas?

Take a 4" peice of cardboard and wrap it around as many times as you want. After wrapping, pinch a section of the material and cut it with scisors an inch in front of your fingers. Have your skirt tool ready to go with a collar and pull the material through. Then trim to desired length.
