new to the wooden lure game

Hi I am new to wooden lure making. My ? is what is the best process for painting wooden crankbaits. Thank you and if anybody has ??? about any powder coating I can help.

i think most use acrylic paint. i primer mine first with white to bring out color. i think most use an air brush. i do mine with a small brush. check the forum for painting techniques.

From what I've read on this board most guys, including me, use a white base coat to start, then they paint from the belly up applying lighter colors first and then fade the darker colors over the lighter colors. After that detail is added such as stripes, dots, gill plates, eyes, and so on.
