can anyone tell me were i can buy stainless hitchiker for making shaky heads?

I believe, if you want stainless steel you will have to make them yourself. I buy the copper ones, and they seem to do fine. There is a post in the Wire Bait Forum on how to make them yourself.

thanks guys, copper is fine but big smallmouth tend to bend them and when you bend them back they break. i am not sure if the heat changes the copper or what but i hate to go to the trouble to make a bunch and they not be very strong. again thanks, marty

heat will indeed change the temper of the copper.....copper is fairly soft to begin with.


The screws I have are stainless.
