  1. I like Senkosam's Purple 035/040 glitter because it doesn't curl easily. It will bleed though if you get it too hot. The others i have tried curl/taco especially on the reheats.
  2. I have a few of those from berkeley somewhere. They were in a clearance bin and i fell for it...LOL I dont think a mold would be to difficult to make. You might get lucky and find a swimbait mold from one of the vendors that might work if you cut the bait to fit onto your lure. You might even get a different action out of it if you get a paddle tail version. I know Basstackle has some shad shaped molds that might work well for this project.
  3. I like Nevr Dull. Works great on metals. Should work fine on molds and not wear out the sharp corners too much. Great suggestion
  4. Stonecold, You already know the outer 2 cavities don't have a problem with the feet filling completely. They are all shot at the same time and the middle one consistently has the problems with the feet. The only difference between the outer two and the middle is the way it is oriented in the mold. Keep the feet down on future molds and you should resolve that issue.
  5. I think the middle one will always defect at the feet. The air is trapped and cannot get out, maybe having the mold remade with all the frogs the same layout, feet down will help you. As for the body denting, I agree with atijigs, on a larger sprue/runner.
  6. I feel your pain, sorry you are having to deal with this. I like others get comfortable when making baits. This serves as a reminder to me to be more careful and aware of what is going on. Thank you for sharing the pictures and story. I hope you get better soon.
  7. I can respect not showing a video if it will reveal your secrets. 300 units does seem like a lot to break even and risk your money with most guys somewhat happy with their current system
  8. What was your idea of "too much"? Hard to decide without a $ figure and honestly without seeing it in action.
  9. I remember buying them back in the day. They did catch fish as well
  10. I think the discussion was about "top" pour stick molds

Basstackle's is close in my opinion.
  12. You can always get a few more 4 or 5 cavity stick molds and be able to produce quite a bit. I think it would be easier to handle than a larger mold.
  13. ??? Sarcastic over statement? This is coming from a "Bear Hater" who ask if Bear invented Plastisol, the internet, etc? No one here is claiming Bear did. Yes the internet, this site helped people create baits, but the fact is when bear started selling his injection molds and injectors, that changed the way a lot of us are doing it today. Some may know Bear and I have had our disagreements. I'm far from being a Bear "Fanboy" or "cheerleader". Frank could probably confirm that. All I did was disagree with you and state some facts. So you injected baits 30 years ago, congratulations!! And now you can machine your own molds and make runners so that the cavities vent up at the tail ends so as to create perfect baits without voids. Ingenious! You are a true pioneer and innovator in this craft and so much better than the rest of us.. (yes, now this is what I call sarcasm)
