  1. I thought about this post tonight while at walmart ... Our walmart here the Gamakatsu hooks are cheaper then our Gander Mountain and we were at WM anyways. Mustad has a swimbait hook or something with a post like that. Now I gotta figure out how to make the mold.
  2. You came to the right place. I use do-it molds. Have you tried a release agent yet?
  3. I have the Do-It Football head that has the 90 degree hook, weedless of course. I put the finishing nail in so I have the hole. I drill the hole out to 1/8", powder paint, clean the hook eye off and cook it. When that is done I clean out the hole, if you do it before you bake itll chip the paint, so do it afterwards. Then I use the loctite super glue gel or some epoxy I got from harbor freight to glue in my guards. The epoxy I wait over night, the super glue gel I wait an hour before I put the skirts on.

    Good or Bad Idea ??

I think that is a good idea, correct me if I am wrong, but aren't donations tax write offs as long as you have a receipt? What I would do is whatever you make off of them to keep the money that it cost to make them, but donate the profit. Like is you sell them for lets say $2 and it cost 75 cents to make, keep the 75 cents and donate the $1.25. Just my personal opinion.
  6. Ordered about 3 or 4 times from them already. Great service and fast shipping. I ordered on the 18th and due to the Holiday, it got shipped out on the 22nd and I got it on the 25th. Usually on the 4th business day for me shipped to North Alabama.
  7. I was the same way man, I read up for over a year and found here and been here since. All my questions and problems I thought I might come across I found the solution here. And yes it does get addicting QUICK! I am ready to order a few more jig molds.
  8. i have been trying to think of a way to make it, I have wanted one like this ... BUT i wanted to make it where it moves and when you set the hook it goes down and easier to penetrate the plastic.

you know pete now that you said something, I usually heat my lead in the pot at full blast and turn it down ... let it get to that low point as i pour in my aluminum mold. imma try that here in a minute and let ya know if it worked ... before i go do i need to heat the mold

Hey guys, I made a 2 part RTV mold of 1/2 ounce football jigs so I don't have to pour one at a time. Since I couldn't find a production mold for the football jig. Well it came out pretty good for someone who hasn't ever messed with the stuff. When I pour the lead its like the lead takes forever to harden and when i open the mold the head CRUMBLES. any tips or a place to get a production mold. if i wasted 30 bucks oh well. i tried and it gave me a lil bit of experience lol
