I have a 6 year old website that sells fishing reels internationally. The vast majority of the reels are sold to fishermen in Australia and New Zealand. I purchased this site a few months ago as an addition to my fishing lure manufacturing business. I have a full time job and thought I could run them both; however, I now know that is not possible. The website made a gross profit of $178,330 in 2011 (I can verify 2009, 2010 & 2011 income with IRS returns). The site mainly sells Shimano reels but there is plenty of room to increase sells with the addition of other manufactured reels. We currently have two distributors for the reels (really anything fishing). Unless there is a really good sale, we sell the reels cheaper than Gander Mountain, Cabelas, Bass Pro and Walmart. The sell will also come with approx. $2K in reels and fishing line. I had a professional logo created for the website. Since the reels are shipped internationally, you will need to stock inventory. We do have a 60 day net with one of the distributors. Also, you may qualify for $50K in financing through the SBA since this is an export business. We would be willing to offer some owner financing for a continued percentage of ownership. This is a legitimate business. Unfortunately, we do not have the time to continue to run the site. If you do not have the financial ability to purchase the business and inventory, please do not respond.
