  1. No, I actually want a normal boottail, not a huddleston style. But I will keep looking. A 7" line through would be killer.
  2. Looking for big swimbait molds, like 6 inches plus, maybe up to 9 inches? Not just a paddletail, kind of a trout bait? Maybe linethrough? I have looked around but cannot find anything of the sort. Any tips guys? Or should I just go ahead and get a custom mold cut. Thanks

Great looking master, should make it into a walking style bait when done haha!
  4. The centipedes down here (Georgia are usually a deep red to brown color. An oxblood or pumpkin color with red hi-lite would probably look great.
  5. Thanks for the advice guys, but I don't think I explained my problem enough. I am trying to create a swimbait like say huddleston, storm, and other companies have. It is already rigged, with a weight insert inside the lure. My problem is, the hook just wants to slide out the holes of the lure. It's almost like I need something to hold my hook in place. Any tips? Thanks
  6. I have been toying with a handpoured pre-rigged/weighted swimbait idea for a while, but cannot get it right. I took a piece of wire, my preferred hook, and set the hook up how I wanted it in my mold, then used the wire to suspend it so that the hookpoint and line tie is out of the swimbait. I thought it would work great, but then the hook just wants to slide right out of the lures. Any tips/ideas on how to do this? Thanks
  7. Heres my method on clay and hard mold making. I use a natural clay, it air dries in about 2 hours. I have a full detailed sketch of my idea on my bench, then I make the clay master of it. Since I have 2 hours until dry, I perfect the master, shape it, smooth it, and glue it down to my mold pan in about 1 hour usually. Mix my POP, Coat the master in vegatable oil, then pour my POP into the mold. Let it cure for however long it needs to, then demold from the pan. Since there is no air in the mold when it is curing, the clay stops the drying process, and it comes out soft and easy to pull out because of the oil coating. I have made around 30 12" X 6" molds this way, never had a problem at all. Timing is the key though. Justs my thoughts and process. Hope it helps.
  8. I used the same curl leg form on my frog as well, it really looks and sounds great in the water, doesn't make the lure spin over either. Also adds a bigger profile to the lure.
  9. Wow. Thanks guys. I had no idea other companies got this email. For a small company started in the last 2 months, a 1k order is a big deal, so I had to be 100% sure before taking it. I have come to my conslusion: No thanks! I hate scammers and I will never respond to him again, and I will block him. I just recieved the same email asking for HARD METAL JIGHEAD instead of HARD PLASTIC FISHING LURE. Thanks for the help!
  10. Thanks for the advice. It seemed weird, so I asked. Better safe than sorry. Any one else have suggestions?
  11. Hey guys, I am new to this whole thing, and my scam senses tingled on this order. I removed the names and addresses, but kept the original emails. He wanted 1000 of my frogs shipped to New Zealand to a post house. His shipping address was different then his real name he told me, and he kept wanted to get my phone number. He also wanted it shipped through a certian company that would cost $2380 for door-to-door pickup. Once I said I did not have aworking phone #, he stopped emailing me. If you think about this one logically, couldn't you find a frog cheaper than that in NZ? It just doesn't make sense to me... P.S.: Do they even have Bass in New Zealand?? Thanks for the help, opinions, and comments. 12. I caught a 4lb Largemouth in a swampy pond on a farm once, and as I unhooked it, I saw a small leaf in its throat. I pulled the leaf out, and I found out that it was not a leaf, but a baby alligator snapping turtle! The turtle was still alive too! Crazy stuff.
  13. I get a quart of super fine, almost flour-like salt from Bears Baits for 2.50. It will last me a long time.
  14. Hand poured soft plastics-Saltwater and Freshwater!
