Well you guys have gotten off onto Carp ... lets turn this out a little further to the White Amur or Asian Grass Carp that has been stocked so many places to help keep the weeds down ... those dudes get up to the 60's and 70's .... Have heard of them in Golf course ponds following the grass mowers around and actualy sliding up on the bank to eat the clippings as they had cleaned the pond of weeds ... They are suppose to be "nutered" Hello .. they have gotten to some of our rivers from broken pond dams ... they can tear up bedding areas and take away natural weeds .. really bad in some places .. to further complicate things .. they are protected in places and you cannot have them in your possesion even in waters they were not stocked in.
They can really put up a fight and are excellent targets for the archery fishermen but because of the protection they are left alone ...
I wonder if any one out of the state of Florida has the same problem ???
