I have really enjoyed reading this thread. I read almost every post, thread, and forum on Tackleunderground at least 2 to 20 times a day. We are lucky to have a very diverse group of Senior Members, Members, and New(bie) Members to exchange ideas, methods, and procedures with.
OH, I almost forgot to mention
those that infuse a constant source of unrequested
pain to that private portion of the anatomy that is rarely risked to possible sunburn,
and join the most elite membership status in the ranks of Tackleunderground,
those deemed fit to wear the title of "
Banned for Life."
One a more positive note; one of the best threads I had the pleasure of reading and learning from was
Best Lead Melt Flux?.

This the perfect model of what a
GREAT thread consists of.

Generally speaking, the members of TU are very self disciplined and respect other member's right to disagree

, have a difference of opinion

, or just keep "doing it wrong" - what ever wrong may be.
I met a guy today, working on the neighbors place while I was mowing the grass. The specific repair has been required by 3 different owners of the house over the past 12 years. And that was the subject of the initial discussion. We both are of families from the old country and are proud of our heritage, enjoy brats and beer, and the tackle building addiction. After a few minutes of discussion, my neighbor, who real is the salt of the earth, reminded us that my new friend, was on the clock.
Ooooops - My BAD
.
So, he went back to the task at hand and I put my mower in the garage and went to me wire bender, blades, lure bodies, beads, and skirt materials on hand; and built him one of my Pike and Bass in-line spinners

and stuck it under his wiper blade

. Later, he knocked on the door asking, "What's the cost of the spinner?" and was rewarded with a big smile as I gave him the bill, "Just a hand shake." He quickly "paid up" and extended his hand and was verifying the TU web address he had written down. We got that straightened out and after a few more minutes and a parting hand shake, went our separate ways.
The only thing it would take to make this a Perfect Day, is to see a new member that is already a new friend.
