Soupy,

I have considered tryin some of those tinted and metal flake glue sticks in 4part molds. Approaching it like pouring soft plastics by melting the gluesticks in sauce pans. The top area can be poured in metal flake, close the mold and allow to cool. Then open the mold and cast the 2nd plastic. When the lure is assembled laquer paint can be applied to cover seams and for the detailing.

The lures Hiro posted the link to dont look like they have a topcoat.
I'm not sure how well lures like that would sell. I'm guessing the paint wouldn't last. The clarity of the plastic would get clouded and scuffed faster with use than the average topcoated lure.

However the lure could have a leading edge in crankbaits as it is softer than a hardbait with similar action. The soft aspect of the lure could get bass to hold it for more hook sets.

Interesting lures no doubt.

Shawn
