This looks like just the forum I was looking for. My girlfriend gave me a mold, some lead, and a few other jig-making supplies for my birthday, a week before Christmas. So now I'm concentrating on learning to make and fish with jigs and spinner baits. I'm definitely new at this; heck it wasn't long ago I thought a jig 'n' pig was something you burned through the water (duh). But I do know that jigs are one of the most versatile baits out there, so if I can get good at jig-fishing, I'll be in good shape.
Welcome aboard RoadToad. You will find a lot of helpful guys in the wirebait forum. We'll get you on the right path. From pouring to powder painting. Just be very cautious when pouring hot lead. Read the sticky at the top of the forum.
Welcome to the fray… Warning: This Hobby Is Very Addictive!!! The sticky that Cadman is referring to was just started a few days ago by the guys in the wirebait forum. It is being compiled from the knowledge of others to prevent injury or death to others. There are some real dangers with pouring lead so please be safe. Looking forward to seeing you on campus and don’t forget to post a few pictures once you get started.
