Re: Another New Guy

I used to do all the beer festivals, when I played in the band. We would get free tickets and as half the band didn't like beer, things often got blurry.

I like Marsdens pedigree, and the occasional Bishops tipple, when I can find it.

Dave

Pedigree bitter is on in a lot of pubs and bars in Leeds and very nice too. I am ashamed to say the 'Bishops Tipple' is a new one on me but if the bishop liked it then it must be ok

Best beer festival I ever went to was 1985 and held at the Queens Hall in Leeds (the hall is now gone) it was not a hall but the old tram shed. A pal of ours got hold of a roll of beer tickets, 1 ticket = 1 pint. We lost count of how many tickets were used off the roll but we all got totaly legless and all it cost us was the busfare there and whatever it cost to get home, I can't recall how we got home.

Happy days

Vadkaman....PhilB:
Now that you guys brought up the FESTIVAL thing. It brings back really
good memories of my time spent in Germany and all those October-
fests.
No need to elaborate as you guys know how much fun they where.

Re: Another New Guy

just a quickie, spent some furlough time in London, in the late 60"s , while serving Uncle Sam in Bavaria. Met some very nice people , a bit tough to adjust to the English food styles after being in the rest of Europe. However, the one major thing I enjoyed over there was the Formula One racing niche, been a die hard since the 60's and England also has the Goodwood Speed Festival.
