Hello everyone just found this site thought I would try to learn a few things. I'm interested in starting to make my own jigs and maybe trying soft plastic's. Any words of wisdom would be appreciared.
Welcome aboard MILKSHAKE - you found the right place to learn all you want (and some) to know about making jigs.
The "search form" function - it's a gold mine.
Welcome to the Tackleunderground. We have a growing section called Member Submitted Tutorials (MSTs) that include jig tying, a pretty good intro to hard baits. The plastics pouring is fairly straihgt forward, but requires pratice to get good at it. One of the members posted a thread with his daughter and her friend pouring pink stick worms for breast cancer awareness. He had a link to a video of them having a pretty good time pouring and dancing to the music... well, maybe not dancing, but having fun.
Enjoy TU and take a good long look around. See you on campus.
