Hello, new member!

Hi, I’m Adam; I live and fish in NorCal. I’m in very close range of the Sacramento, Feather, Yuba, and American rivers which have runs of steelhead, striper, shad, and salmon. It’s awesome to have this many opportunities for fishing. When I lived in San Diego, I was introduced to custom hand pour lures. I was fortunate to have a fishing pal that makes and sales custom baits, so I have some experience pouring and had a quick glimpse of the custom bait market. I really enjoyed creating new colors, making multi-colored baits, thinking of ways to make new molds, etc. I miss making baits and decide to something about it. So, here I am.

Re: Hello, new member!

Adam,
Welcome to the Tackleunderground, the tackle junkie center of the universe. Fear not, several members are working on a 12 step program... Nobody has been cured with this program to date, we just tell members about it so they can tell their wives we're looking for a cure.

You're going to find a ton of information here about hand poured plastics and just about every facet of the art of tackle making. Don't be surprised if you find additional interests start once you start looking around. We have a growing forum titled Member Submitted Tutorials for learning the basics and some pretty lively discussions involving the applied science of engineering as it applies to fishing lures.

Good luck and we look forward to seeing some of your baits posted.
