Hello, from Indiana

I'm a Smallmouth Bass stream nut. The last 4 years I have hit it hard year round for smallmouth in Indiana waterways. I fished over 15 different streams last year. There are a lot of hidden jems out there.

I far prefer fishing creeks, streams, and rivers to lakes.

I make my own tube jig heads, float and Fly flies, buzzbaits, and chatterbaits.

I was fortunate to land 10 20" + SMB out of creeks and streams in Indiana last year. Not an easy feet.

Originally from Toledo, Ohio. I live in Indy now. If you are looking for someone to fish with in the area, I can usually be found over at the Indiana Smallmouth Alliance board year round.

Very nice smallie. It looks so peaceful and quiet out there, just you and the fish and I'll bet you see a few wild turkey and deer now and then. I could handle that type of environment but I'm afraid I would miss the jet skiers and oversized cruisers. You are very luck to have such a playground.

Reeves, funny you said that about the Turkeys. Right up that cliff to the right of the picture is a farm field that had a flock of about 12 of them. Then in the next field a dozen deer. LOL.

Love stream fishing there's over 20, I've fished here in the state. Makes me feel like Louis and Clark.

Welcome aboard. Never fished the Hoosier state but did spend a lot of time fishing for small mouth on the Potomac river near Harpers Ferry. Now there`s one game fish that will
really pull your string.

Re: Hello, from Indiana

As a fellow Hossier and having met Bterrill I can tell you he is a very knowledgeable fisherman, stop in a indianasmallmouth and read some of his fishing reports, you will be impressed. Anyone who wades in 15degree weather through ice has to be in dire need of some serious help, then again he is a fisherman so I guess it goes with the territory.
