Carbon fibre/braid birds nest

I don't think I would be standing anywhere near it, with 80,000 acres to hide in. pete

Think of 40000 hectares as 154 Sq Miles...

And only 22.8 days until you land...

Hi Pete

Occurs to me that a ball of space junk falling 27 thousand million miles from space at 5 billion miles an hour would make a hole .

Wouldn't it

Re: Carbon fibre/braid birds nest

Yes Phil, could be BS - It would be pretty light though, being carbon fiber with everything melted out of it. That's pretty much sand he is standing on too, so maybe it bounced!! Probably a set line for cod, he pulled out of a river??. pete

20 DAYS and I go into space

Re: Carbon fibre/braid birds nest

Just the way it looks, it must have been tumbling as it came down. An object like that, spinning in at (what ?) about 1,000 rpm; makes you wounder how many miles it traveled as came into earth's gravity...

On the other hand, how about that guy in Sydney who bite the dog (pit bull, I think) to save his mate. Then the claim that it taste "doggy" sounds right.

Gents - only 20 days until you fly out, about 21 until you land.

Re: Carbon fibre/braid birds nest

Spike - No, Dave and I will get there before we take off- (Time difference 15-16 hrs) flight time about 14 hrs, so we will be going back in time !! . When I get back here, I lose something like 2 calander days, leave on Wed, land on Friday, I think - figure that out. pete
