Re: Dimples and Drag

Pete,
I'm trying to interpret your post. After thinking about it for a while, I think that I have finally figured out the point. Is this what you are talking about?

Re: Dimples and Drag

Well I've hit a few golf balls in my time, but never modified them like Gene did. Anyone ever see any cartoon of airplanes where they are flapping their wings in order to fly... well this is similar but totally different YouTube - Pathfinder aircraft in turbulence

Enjoy your next flight...

Re: Dimples and Drag

Golfball dimples and boundary layers. Related subjects, baseball - picking seams, cricket - polishing one side of the ball, table tennis - new and old balls, American football - throwing technique, UK football - bending. Wing theory.

All favourites of mine. How many pages do you want?

None - good decision.

Thanks Pete, very interesting.
