When I caught my first fish on one of my own, I don’t think cameras were invented!!!
This was the species, an Australian Bass, which weighed about 1 lb.
And this was the lure, red cedar, with a single treble at the back, clear coated with floor varnish, which is still holding up fairly well after about 30 years. Pete

Clamboni what kinda fish is that in the top pic???
Yellow perch........pretty much any freshwater gamefish in the northeast will eat them. They supposedly make up quite a bit of the diet for smallies up north.

Clamboni, great thread!
Here's mine.................
......The lure, a small replica of a 1920's Heddon "Crab Wiggler". As you can see from the pic it has taken on some water and the finish is cracked but it hangs proudly in my handmade lure collection
........and the lure and fish. The fish is bigger than the lure but not much, LOL but the first one is such a rush that size doesn't matter!
Won't ever forget that July '04 evening on Stonecoal lake!
Well the first fish my Papa's Buzz caught was in a tournament, it weighed just a little over 5lbs and it had a tag in it that was worth $500. That alone paid my entry and hotel for that week. My boater bought 3 from me and he has bought more. I tried to give him some but he wanted to buy them.
