Thanks Nate

ops: I didnt think anyone would see that, no...... Yeah, I thought Id give it a shot, since I play with the polymer clay all the time. Thats what I make my prototypes out of for making my soft plastic molds.

I took my silicone popper mold & pressed in a thin layer of SculpeyIII (in both halves), added a wall in to keep the BB rattles in the rear, added through wire & then put the 2 silicone mold halves together. This made the hollow cavity needed to float the lure.

I just baked the clay inside the mold in the oven, then painted & clearcoated as usual.

Its pretty tough, but Devcon 2Ton would make paper origami a formidable bait

I havnt been contacted by the Site Author yet, (month & a half) The deal was supposed to be a chance to publish a tutorial on how I made it. & he would add it in a distributed CD & I'd make royalties. Not sure if it will do it even if he contacts me or not. I'd have to see one of his existing CD's to see what quality of instruction he's sellin.

I think personal (not production) baits could be made from this stuff, but a through-wire harness is a must have.

Anyone bought any of the CD's??

Thanks Nate, BTW, Saw your ad on BigFish.com (NiCe!)

I found the actual photo I entered, the site admin hacked it all up when he posted it on the site, I guess he didnt wanna give away to much, but heres the photo (below). You can see how I used a silicone mold as a "push mold" to get the body, rattle cavitity, etc.

Its funny, I built that lure in one evening & submitted the photo, a couple minutes before the contest expired :P

Hi Red
I bought one the CD's off e-bay. If it had been a vacuum cleaner it would have been a good purchase.

Got it in one Red. I'll send it to you with those lures I'm making for you (haven't forgotten you but it's the worst winter here in a decade so haven't ventured out to shed to make any lures for awhile).
Take care
