Just out of curiosity, I was looking at some of the creations that combine natural rabbit fur/feathers, etc.. with plastics - any of you ever tried it? Any luck? What are some of the tricky manufacturing challenges you ran into? Obviously it would slow down production levels, but still... for personal use - it opens up some creative possibilities!

you mean rigid plastic or soft plastics?
I was talkin to a fella who makes those grubs with maribou plumes coming out the rear, (sorry dont know what there called)
but he told me the company went thru the trouble of actually molding the feathers in with the pour, now they just glue em in after the fact
Have poured a bunch of craw/creature baits with silione skirt strips molded in in place of plastic antennae. With my molds, I had to pour a layer of plastic, place the silicone, pour the final layer (excluding 2 color claws...the dreaded third pour). Obviously this slows things down.
