Re: Soft baits

You could get a spearate tackle box for them\.

Re: Soft baits

Sounds to me like it's time to buy a bigger boat.

Re: Soft baits

I have a bag for tubes, a bag for stick baits, and a double bag for worms, lizards, etc. as well as a tackle bag for jigs, cranks, etc.

Re: Soft baits

I keep mine in the plastic bags they come in but seperated by type ( floaters,regular,flippin/pitchin,etc) in small gym bags. Just pick up the bag I need then make a pick. A tackle box would not be feasible in my case. Plus you can`t pack a T/B like you can a gym bag.
Everybody is different in how they do things but for me this works. No mess. Nothing sticking to something. No nothing.
My bass boat has plenty of storage so I use it. I`m not thinking about what I left home... I`ve got it.
In Fl,the use of plastic baits vs others is disproportionate due to the amount of grass/pads and other types of vegetation
you run into that`s the main reason I have those gym bags
full of plastics.
Countless colors, sizes and configurations seem to be needed in order to try an out-smart Mr Bass. In my case anyway.

Re: Soft baits

The new tackle binders work great too. I'm like braid, but instead of gym bags i have a binder for sinkers, one for wacky rigging, one for floaters, and one for the kinds that dont fit the other catagories.

Re: Soft baits

I store the bulk of my plastics at home in a big tool box. Its cheaper than a tackle box or tackle bag. I leave them in their orginal packages. You can get one at Wally World (Wal-Mart) for under twenty dollars and mine weights about 30 to 40 pounds (its packed to the max). Then I have a small tackle bag I got on sale at Scheels and I just take what I need for each lake I fish at that day. You can always take more with you then you need. A other good way to keep them at home is to go to the dollar store or Wally World and get thoes cheap knock off Rubber Made toats.
