Hey RipLIP, no luck on the pics yet. he has to pick up a card reader so he can load them in his computer then will send them to me. Where in NH are you?
he can just go to wally world (walmart) and get them downloaded to
a disc while he waits.........they're open 24/7.........cheap too........
Anyone who fishes without a lisence is stealing from the rest of us who pay to keep the fisheries going. Besides all that I think the whole story is a crock of bull. Too many unusual circumstances. It is almost an insult to peoples intelligence to think that this story is even worth the time of day. If it looks like a rat and smells like a rat..........
How is he stealing from you??? He has purchased a license and no doubt will face a hefty fine when he goes to court resulting in him donating a hell of alot more than you do to the upkeep of the fisheries. Do you carry a plastic bag with you and pick up other people's garbage at fishing holes like he does or are you the one that drops it on the ground and walks away??? As far as all the negative comments i expected that. Some from jealously some from ignorance and some from wanna be lawyers. I agree he probably shouldn't get the official state record because of no license but Ny state will determine that not you, not me, not him. Whether you are right or wrong i guess everyone has there own opinion. Me, I am going to wait for the state to determine the outcome and wait to see the pictures. The key word in this whole story is in the heading POSSIBLE. cHECK IT OUT IN THE WEBSTER'S DICTIONARY AND YOU WILL THEN KNOW WHAT IT MEANS. Enjoy your negative day.
How about this: Give me the DEC officers name. All the officers names and phone numbers are listed in the rule book and I will call the officer myself and see if the story has any validity. Let me guess though, you don't know his name and your son doesn't remember. Just to let you know I am a Scoutmaster and I have been involved with countless clean-up projects on local waterways. I am not a negative person at all. I am however a disbeliever of your story. Give me the gameys name and if the story is true I'll apologize online and send your and you son some of my bass jigs free.
Like i said i am going to wait for the state's determination as they set the rules not you, me, or him.
there word is good enough for me. As for the pictures i will post them when i get them and you can in your infinite wisdom make your own determination.

Hey man, I'm not trying to be negative or disbelieving. I LOVE to see pics of hawgs caught by anyone. I learned a long time ago that people just don't believe "fisherman". You know, the old "fish stories" line. So I started taking pics of anything and almost everything I caught. Sure is fun to show the pics to somebody after they've ragged you about stretching the truth. As a matter of fact, me and a friend were fishing in a private lake 2 weeks ago and as we neared the grass line, I heard a splash and something hit me in the back of the leg.( It scared the living %*#! out of me since they claim there are gators there) I looked down and there was a 3 lb bass flopping on the deck of the boat. I netted it, took a pic, and changed pants, lol. Noone believes that one either. So don't worry, nobody believes a fisherman, not even fisherman. I do know that here in Alabama, the very first requirement of many to claim a state record is "It must be legally caught " That's not an exact quote, but you get the meaning. Good luck to your son.
