Canoeman knot

This is a great knot I have been using lately, very easy to tie and incredibly strong. Learned it from watching a salt water show where they were catching 100+ lb tarpon on 50 lb test, works fine for my bass fishing, love it on my flipping jigs. Here is a link to a video on how to tie it, enjoy...

Cool find Celt, looks simple to tie. I will try it out next weekend walleye fishing in northern IL.

I love it, super easy and really absorbs shock well, plus the tag end going to the back like that really does make a difference when fishing grass.

I like that knot. Looks like it's worth trying. I'll be getting my little boat out soon and hope to fill the live box, will within reason.

The Canoeman, Merrill Chandler, was a local legend around here.

He passed away about five years ago.

Great knot for big game fish. For a lot of the other fishing that I do around here, this one works pretty well too:
