Gelled Fish attractant

A tip I just read on making your fish attractant into a gel.
supplies needed:
small jar(s) with a tight sealing lid(s).
flux brushes
petrolium jelly
fish attractants

Optional:
non iodized salt
Garlic salt or powder
anise oil
anything else that may be used as an attractant?

Mix ratio:
25% attractant
75% petrolium jelly

Fill a frying or sauce pan with 1/2" of water and place on a camp stove or hot plate over medium heat. Do this outside to avoid smelling up the house.
place a soup can with the petrolium jelly in the hot water bath.
When the petrolium jelly melts add the fish attractant and/or other ingredients and mix well.
pour the mixture into the jars and allow to cool.

When on the lake use the flux brush to apply a light coating to your lure or bait. An added plus is that this stays on and doesn't wash off after a few casts.

Cheesehead,
good one. I will have to try that one. I use a small Bingo dabber that has been rinsed out & pour my scent products in. Just wipe on the lure as needed, no drips, no waste.
