"Downrigger Rod"

Guys in your opnion, what would be a good rod to buy or build for downrigging. I want something for Walleye and Crappie and a moderate price tag.

Re: "Downrigger Rod"

I don't know how to downrigger for crappie but, i like old garage sale parabolic fiberglass rods. Their bend works even with a cannonball, and i use braded line with no stretch to it and let the whippiness of the rod play the fish, good luck.
