BC, no they are not the same thing. Fishair is stiffer than craft hair and has a different texture. The place where I get all my craft hair from is punisherlures.com. He has several different colors and the prices are good for what you get. But the shipping is a little steep if you just order one or two colors, but if you get several colors at a time it's not to bad..

Re: Bass Jigs

Years ago I bout craft hair at Walmart in the craft department. Don't know if they still sell it. I believe the original fnf was made on Aspirin head jigs, but; I notice they aren't used much anymore. Any reason for that?

Yea,they use to sell it for doll hair. I dont know if they still do or not. As for the aspirin heads, I still use them on certain flys and the original fnf's were tied and still are tied on a aspirin head. They make a good fly but people got on the minno head and never looked back.

Re: Bass Jigs

The first company to market fnf jigs was the bullet bait company out of TN. Charlie and Eddie Nuckols were the godfathers of the float n fly. They still make fnf jigs and theirs are on aspirin style heads.
