Re: Bass Jigs

I have used either or both together. I am kinda partial to the fox family myself. I can work with craft hair and it is easy to come by, but if I had to pick, I would choose FOX HANDS DOWN. But then again, IT"S HARD TO BEAT A WELL TIED FEATHER OFFERING!!!!!!! I have to deliver a bunch tomorrow. They started early this year....

Re: Bass Jigs

I have tied and sold float n fly jigs. Craft hair is tough to beat for the action and fluff the hair possesses at rest in the water. I have tied some with Arctic Fox hair and they are probably the closest thing to craft hair.

Re: Bass Jigs

sorry the picture is a little blurry. Also, if you look close on these jigs, there is chenille wrapped on the shaft of the hook. I prefer the chennile as it gives the jig a little "body" appearance.

Re: Bass Jigs

Oh, you are lucky man. fishing smallmouth heaven. I wish I was you. I am sure my jigs would fool them to some respect on those lakes as well. Sure wish I could try them down there this winter.
