Are the Pike baits for ice fishing or do you jig them in open water? Just curious?
It is a bait for winter. I have not had time to catch yet on it. It is experiment.

Re: AlexRus

Alex,
I understand that you will be using the lures this winter. During winter in the States, we there are two types of fishing depending on where you live. In the north, they fish through the ice and it is called "ice fishing." In the southern part of the country, the water does not freeze and is called open water fishing.

My question was on if you intend to fish your lures by the ice fishing method or open water method? The video clip is of some fishermen ice fishing.

Re: AlexRus

I haven't quite mastered the "reach into a frozen lake to snatch a muskie routine yet" but thats not from lack of trying. Even practiced on a couple smaller pike, but I'm always afraid the muskie will bite my hand. Not to mention the temperature of the water.

AlexRus I am sure your ice lure will catch you some pike. Its my favorite way to ice fish. We even use smaller ones to go for perch, bluegill, and crappie. It definitely beats taking off your gloves to hook on another waxworm or minnow. Let us know how it works out this winter, even though its really far away, it would be nice to be able to make those at home.
