Anyone try the dye for foamies?

I bought some colored dye from Aluminite that you add so the bait is cast in a solid color. The package just says add about 20 drops but this stuff is thicker than silicone to pour. Decided to try just a little bit and what a disaster! Only about half of the mold cured and it ran everywhere. Just seeing if anyone has any advice before it goes in the trash?
