If so, spray it and seal it with your favorite topcoat.
If you dont want to see the inside of the bait, spray it with a flat white primer first. I use rustoleum flat white primer, then lightly sand, and then a coat of flat white paint.
Gettin your hands on some transparent paints is the best bet,

Get a can of water based clear polyurethane & put some in a cup & add a lil food coloring. you can thin it with water if needed. If you spray heavy coats the poly may apper "cloudy" at first but once its dry you'll have a nice transparent coat & be able to see thru the bait.
I use the type of food coloring found at any cake decorating store. It is usually a paste type instead of that stuff you get at the grocery. I mix it with a clear acrylic made by testors and thin with water to airbrushing consistancy.
