Do you want a transparent look?

If so, spray it and seal it with your favorite topcoat.

If you dont want to see the inside of the bait, spray it with a flat white primer first. I use rustoleum flat white primer, then lightly sand, and then a coat of flat white paint.

Hope this helps

Chip

Gettin your hands on some transparent paints is the best bet,
Createx has a line of transparents, Wasco taxidermy carries transparents, among others, but Ive got a lil home recipe for transparent paint:

Get a can of water based clear polyurethane & put some in a cup & add a lil food coloring. you can thin it with water if needed. If you spray heavy coats the poly may apper "cloudy" at first but once its dry you'll have a nice transparent coat & be able to see thru the bait.

I use the type of food coloring found at any cake decorating store. It is usually a paste type instead of that stuff you get at the grocery. I mix it with a clear acrylic made by testors and thin with water to airbrushing consistancy.

Dick Nite's paints are also excellent for the phantom look!
