Re: Robo-Mouse! My latest home made topwater

Dudes! It worked! And I have friends that witnessed it!

Man that was awesome! First cast, 4 cranks in at a golf course pond and this little guy SLAMMED IT with full force! Beautiful!
I knew the action was deadly on this thing! It has some of the best topwater action I've seen on a bait like this. Man unbelievable..

Very nice! I've only caught 6 on my handmades so far, but each has been quite exhilarating. Keep it up!

This will be my third. I caught one on my first home made crankbait that is retired now, that topwater mouse, and I also got the smallest fish in the world on my home made crankbait thing from the other thread I did.

Great job on your catch, now your in trouble catching fish on your first baits is how the sickness starts. You know your really sick when you start dumpster diving for material LOL. My wife makes fun of me because I can look at anything and find a use for it in tackle making, its always on my mind. She said shes hand enough when I asked her why she throwed away the foil off her gum wrapper ,I told her I could foil a bait with it LOL. She thinks I have a problem, I see no problem!

I hate to break it to ya but I have ya beat in the smallest fish in the world in the hand made bait department. We were jigging for whitefish lat year and having a slow day when my father pulled up his jig and there was about a 1" perch minnow snagged on one barb of the trebble hook. He was laughing because he said he could finally say he outfished me on a trip when I reeled in for the day and wouldnt ya know it but I had two 1"perch minnows snagged on mine. Outfished the man again We laughed for days over that one. I still catch him telling the story to guys he works with and at different fishing tournaments we enter together.

Congratulations! I know it's a thrill to catch them on something you made.
The way you're going, if you retire each lure after it's caught only one fish, you'll be pretty busy making new ones.

Re: Robo-Mouse! My latest home made topwater

hey tacklejunkie I was thinking about you bait last night , and how I was going to make myself one, somebody had the idea of a stinger hook in the tail. I was thinking about the tail made out of surgical tube and run a leader through the center of the tube with a hook on the end. Then attach it to an eye hook on the back of the bait. What do you think?

All right MT you might have the smallest prech in the world but I just caught the smallest musky in the world today. It was about 12 inches long, I think the dnr snuck in and stocked a few without nobody knowing about it.On the up side I did catch a 41 incher and raised a nice one up , I will be seeing that girl in the morning I hope.

that mouse is a sweet, simple, and original design. Your crank looks great as well. Nice work!
