@ Tacklejunky
Here are my own first upscaled versions of your "Robo-Mouse" , still in progress .
Turned them down from abachewood for faster shaping, body length is 3" .
One of these can be rigged with an interchangeable plastic tail , just like your lure , the other will have a permanent tail of a leather shoestring .
Differently to your rig the plastic tail on my version can be fixed with a toothpick , running crosswise throug brass bearing bushes on either side .
These bushes will be filed smooth to body level , after I finally epoxy them into body .
Now , at first , these lures have to soak in turpentine/linseedoil to make them waterproof , the drying process would take a few weeks afterwards , so I hope , that they would work and not "roll" too much , due to their round shape .
But there is enough space for a balance weight , I might even even still shave the lip , if that pronounced side roll should occur .
Anyway , thanks a lot for your input on me , and I'd also like to thank Spike for his thread about uploading photos here in the forum(without it I would have been too dump to do it on my own) .
Greetz , diemai

Very nice! They look great!
I don't think they will roll with 1/4oz (7g's) of weight or more.
I can crank my robo mouse in pretty quick and it doesn't roll off track.
I've already caught a few more fish on mine. the design works great! Wait until you see the action of the tail and the nice wake the bait produces!
I have since started on two more robo-mice for friends that I will paint black for night fishing..
Got a few minnow lures I made up tested too. They work like a countdown rapala with jerkbait action. I'll get them posted up in a couple days when paint dries.
I have them drying now from a few coats of urethane.

It's nice to watch two internet buddies share info back and forth like a couple of next door neighbors only separated by 5464 miles/8794 kilometers. The fact that you can now add a few pictures to to communicate better is pretty rewarding. Thanks diemai for the comments.

To fish or not to fish, that is the question... See you on the lake, I'm out'a here!!!
Wow , I wonder , how you came by that exact distance "over the fence" , and thank you for your kind words !
@ Tacklejunky
I think , I even like the black colored one better , and do you think , that there are neonyellow/chartreuse/orange mice around as well ?
I guess , I've seen one the other day !
good success furthermore , diemai

After around 70 days() now , my versions of Tacklejunky's "Robo-Mouse" in a pike size are finally completed , but not yet field-tested .
During a bathtube test , when still unpainted , I have found , that these lures don't require a balance weight at all !
I thought , that they would , because of the large , steep lip , but they still run stable and do not tend to flip over at all , but causing a nice wake , wiggling on the surface .
These abachewood lures are quite buoyant , and surely won't dive down at all , and if they would do a bit , they would stay shallow enough for still generating a wake behind them .
I guess , I already gave a little describtion above , but finally I'd like to say a great "THANK YOU" for the input to Tacklejunky !
BTW , haven't seen ya around here for a long time now , I guess !
Greetz , Dieter
