Airbrush problem

I was painting and all was well but after a cleaning and color switch I cant get the spray right. I am first getting a heavy splatter, then normal spray that tapers off to no spray at all. I have cleaned it as well as I can and it does not appera that the needle is bent. Any advice?

Thanks

Re: Airbrush problem

Did you seat the needle all the way into the nozzle before tightening?

Re: Airbrush problem

I had same problem last week. After speaking to an airbrush shop owner about it he said that i need to get "airbrush thiner to mix with the paint 50/50 so it is consistency of whole milk so it draws though the nozzle without clumping cause the paint is too thick with out the thinner. It worked for me.

Re: Airbrush problem

Sounds like a clogged nozzle. Remove the needle and shoot some cleaner through it. If that doesn't fix it, take off the nozzle and use the needle to GENTLY probe the nozzle to push out any paint clog.

Re: Airbrush problem

A build up of dried paint on the inside surface of the front cone, caused me problems, the spray was shooting to one side. I remove the dried paint with a wooden tooth pick, so as not to damage the surface and the problem went away.
