what is the best way to do the hook hangers in a foam bait? can you use the same ones as a wood bait?
No, use Either "cast in" thru wire, or use epoxied in screw eyes (Either store bought or SS Twists). JMHO, but look into Urethane Resin instead of foam. It's so much better. Search Alumilite and Microballoons.

The urethane has a SG of 1.03 (denser than most woods) and will hold screw eyes very well. Even with Micospheres, it still is extremely strong. With the brand I use, bit of pre drilling is necessary, though.
