does anyone know what he uses to get that scale pattern. i know it has to be a file or something but i can not find it anywhere. i would ask him since i live 15 mins anyway from his house but he does not like to share any info on them baits. ive asked him several different times and he will not tell anyone. thanks kevin
I'm not exactly sure how Mr. Dees does his scales but you can use anything from an xacto knife handle (the piece with the diamond texture) to a mac-z-scaler (www.taxidermy.com - look under products - scale tipping supplies - scale texturing tools). it's a lil' expensive for such a small tool but the scale testuring is phenomenal.
If your talking about the scale pattern in the foil he lays some netting down then lays the foil on top and lightly rubs across it to imprint the netting, then cut to fit,use spray adhesive and apply
