crankbait, lip material, will this work? comments?

i am making some minnow type lures and small crankbaits and i need some feedback on some material i found to try for the bills on them. it is duraplex by plaskolite, i got it at lowes last night, it says it is impact modified acrylic, .080 thickness, easy to cut, 10 yr warranty against yellowing, etc. has anyone tried this yet and if so , how did it work out? i look forward to any comments or suggestions, before i found this, i had tried locally for the pc board stuff, no luck there, thanks in advance, mark

Acrylic will crack once it gets cold. So if you throw the bait in cold water or cold weather it is not the best choice. Get some polycarbonate from a good hardware or glass store and you will have no problems at anytime.

I have to agree with Skeeter, polycarbonate is the way to go.Although I have never used or heard of an "impact modified" acrylic, I have used several different types of clear plastic in my beginnings.I also repaired or replaced them after... at my cost.Save your time and money, not to mention patience.

Maybe Fiber Board

If you think you might want fiber board/circuit board for lips I just put a post on the "trader post" forum. I've got some that I need to get rid of.
