Wigglefin action disc

Has anyone tried a wigglefin action disc?Their ad states the disc is tied to the line & it creates "a crankbait sonic action".Hagan's carries them and their site is ActionDiscs - Add action to bass baits, walleye rigs, salmon lures and trolling flies..

Re: Wigglefin action disc

Certainly looks good, I have been working on something similar for the past 2 years (on and off) for lures - Had 7 hits on it last week (only caught 2 trout), it either moves the lure too much OR I think they were smallies. pete

Re: Wigglefin action disc

Mr. Max-
We use wiggle fins out here in California at Eagle Lake in front of a 2" curly tail grub. The disc imparts great darting action on the grub and really works good. They have 2 sizes, we use the small ones on the 2" grubs, and they also have stickers that go on the discs that make them flash a little too! Hope they work for you-
Jeff

Re: Wigglefin action disc

You could punch out some round discs in thin lexan drill center ,cup it using a rounded dowel &heatgun ,glue in a piece of the shaft from a Topz used to clean babies ears & used for makeup .Dont make the "stem" longer than 1/4"

Re: Wigglefin action disc

what about using a suction cup and drilling through it? Would the sides be too flimsy? or Am I way off base?
