I've been playing at tacklemaking since I was just a kid. So, Ive played with lures for probably the last 50 years. I just have never really pursued lure making as more than a hobby. I've given away a lot of jigs, spinnerbaits, and slabs. I'm on a slab making mission at present. I've got hold of more molds and hooks than I'll ever use. But let me on ebay and I end up buying more.
I got started making slabs by Ron Ludwig, prunepicker slabs. Ron is retired and runs the www.sixoldgeezers.com wedsite and message board. Byron Noland, champb, on the TU message board, is also a friend that makes slabs using holographic tape.

Interested in obtaining a copy of your tutorial on powder painting. I have one of benjamin's fluid beds that I purchased on eBay. I have painted with powder paint using the fluid bed and experimented sprinkling powders over jigs and slab baits. I also use vinyl paint by dipping into a base coat of white and adding colored vinyls using an air brush.
